SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced Red Seal Motor Mechanic to join their team. The successful candidate must be capable of working on both cars and bakkies, with strong diagnostic and repair skills across a range of makes and models. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and reputable workshop.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities 

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of petrol and diesel vehicles (cars and bakkies). 

• Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. 

• Carry out routine servicing, including brakes, suspension, clutch, engine repairs, and general mechanical work. 

• Conduct test drives to ensure the proper functioning of repaired vehicles. 

• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs. 

• Use diagnostic tools and follow workshop procedures and safety standards. 

• Work both independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop environment. 

• Red Seal Trade Test Certificate – Motor Mechanic. 

• Proven experience working on both cars and bakkies. 

• Solid understanding of petrol and diesel engines. 

• Ability to diagnose faults quickly and accurately. 

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Experience with a range of vehicle makes and models. 

• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic equipment. 

• Valid driver's license.
