Receiving Supervisor

SUMMARY:

An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to speedily receive and capture materials into the SAP system, ensuring stock availability and accuracy, to perform continuous accuracy checks on incoming inventory for material accounting purposes and to locate, investigate and initiate corrective actions on discrepancies and errors.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Matric with Mathematics
• A valid Forklift Driver’s license is essential
• Must have at least 3 years warehouse experience working in SAP, including Materials Management Modules and GR & GI transactions

• Supervising all deliveries of incoming goods onto the site.
• Checking and capturing all deliveries from suppliers against purchase orders to ensure accurate stock figures on SAP using batch management.
• Ensuring that all goods receipts documents are scanned and attached to the purchase orders electronically in SAP.
• Booking of Port Health Inspection for Import order clearance to ensure timeous releasing of materials by making phone calls to the relevant authorities.
• Sorting and following up all incoming material queries i.e. Certificates of Analysis, shortages and damages to ensure timeous resolution and accurate stock records.
• Solving queries pertaining to any incoming goods movements to ensure accurate movement and records of stocks.
• Processing and recording material rejections and ensuring returns to suppliers are correctly handled as per SOP to ensure proper stock management in SAP.
• Identifying stock inaccuracies, investigating discrepancies and using problem solving skills to ensure the appropriate action is taken to correct discrepancies.
• Advising the Site Logistics Supervisor of inventory discrepancies, recommending improvements in the system and implementing where necessary.
• Complying with a safe working environment, by ensuring that hazardous materials are stored according to regulatory requirements, all SHEQ programs and responsibilities are participated in and safe working practices are adhered to.
• Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained.
