Reaction Officer

SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for a Reaction Officer in the Mining Division based in Impala Platinum Refineries - Springs
 
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

POSITION INFO:

• Emergency response and armed escort duties.
• Valuable Cargo Escort Duties.
• Must have experience in maintaining security policies, protocols and procedures
• Must be able to pass a Reaction Level qualification shoot exercise and achieve 80% pass mark.
• Must be able to pass a written qualification test pertaining to the applied position and achieve 80% pass mark.
• Must have knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act 51/1977 as well as the Firearms Control Act 60/2000.
• Must have experience in maintaining security policies, protocols and procedures

• Must have Grade 12 school certificate.
• Be PSIRA Grade “A” registered with proof of certification.
• Be in possession of a Valid South African Driver’s C1 for this position.
• Must have Accredited Firearm Training Certificates.
• Be in possession of Business purposes Firearm Certificates.
• Must have Statement of Results Certificate.
• Be in possession of a valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate
• Have a clean disciplinary and criminal record.
• Good Client Liaison skills.
• Be a Team Player
• Must have excellent presentation, verbal communication and report writing skills.
• Effective documentation management capability.
• Must have good written and grammar skills.
• Must be computer literate and be able to work on Excel and word and possess knowledge of e-mail etiquette
• Be assertive and able to make decisions.
• Must be able to work under pressure and/or alone.
• Must have very good knowledge of the Impala Site and the Bidvest Protea Coin Site Procedures.
• Own reliable transport is essential
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Accomplished customer / guest relations skills
• Be willing to work Shifts / Flexi Hours
