SUMMARY:
Join a dynamic engineering team developing next-generation building systems and advanced materials that make structures safer, faster to build and more affordable. This role combines structural engineering, material science and hands-on experimentation — taking ideas from the lab to real-world application.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Develop and test advanced construction materials and reinforcement solutions
Improve structural systems for strength, durability and rapid construction
Conduct laboratory and field testing, analyse results and document findings
Support certification and technical compliance processes
Collaborate with design and production teams to implement new technologies on site
(Senior level) Guide research direction and mentor junior team members

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in construction R&D, materials, or structural innovation
Hands-on laboratory testing experience
Knowledge of cementitious and composite materials
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Modelling software, BIM/FEM tools, or exposure to modular/alternative building methods (Advantageous)

Qualification:

Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
