POSITION INFO:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the cost and commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BoQ), and tender documents.
Conduct cost planning and control throughout all project stages.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare tender reports.
Perform cost/value reconciliations and cost reporting.
Administer contracts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Provide procurement advice and support tendering processes.
Conduct site visits and liaise with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Assist in dispute resolution and risk management processes.
Prepare feasibility studies and cost benchmarking analysis.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
Experience working in a professional Quantity Surveying firm.
SACQSP registration (PrQS) is preferable.
Strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and cost management principles.
Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Membership of a recognized professional body (RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
