Junior Quantity surveyor opportunity Western Cape

POSITION INFO:

About the Role:

Our Client requires a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of post-graduate experience and a strong foundation in quantity surveying. This role requires some technical expertise, negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site measurements and assist in preparing monthly certificates and subcontractor payments.
Manage contract documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Support senior staff in pricing and completing tenders using CCS software.
Perform cost analysis and prepare accurate estimates for projects.
Assist in the procurement process, including obtaining quotes and negotiating prices.
Monitor project progress and costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for financial tracking and reporting.

Requirements:

✅ Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or Building Management.
✅ Experience: Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in a similar role.
✅ Technical Skills: Experience with DimX, WinQS, and CCS is advantageous.
✅ Soft Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills.
✅ Work Ethic: Ability to work independently when required.
✅ References: A good track record with contactable referees.
