SUMMARY:
Company based in Durban is looking for a Quality Technician to conduct Quality Control to achieve Quality Standards and meet customer’s expectations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Maths, Science, Technical Drawing)
  • National Diploma in Quality Management or related qualification
  • Minimum 3 Years’ working experience Quality Technician/Controller in a Quality Department within an IATF 16949 listed company.
  • Must have experience in writing procedures and compiling monthly reports.
  • Must have experience in using root cause analyses tools.
  • Sound knowledge in G8D problem solving
  • MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Apply quality procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Prepare and manage quality documentation.
  • Apply problem solving techniques

Associated Tasks

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement Quality Procedures and Work Instructions 
  • Maintain the Quality Assurance system for Plant specific documentation 
  • Ensure compliance of Quality Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
Audits:
  • Conduct internal Process (VDA 6.3:2016) and Product audits
  • CSR.
 
Quality Control: 
  • Investigate all Quality non-conformances and track corrective actions
  • Compile PPM''''s and defect trends and make recommendations
  • Conduct Gauge R&R assessments on all measuring systems
  • Verify First-Off, Last-Off and Random inspections
  • Determine the disposition of quarantined products (Pass, Reject or Rework)

Information Management and Direction Focussing:

  • Collate and analyse company data and management reports.
  • Ensure the department is running efficiently.
  • Control of quality inspector’s times, overtime and absenteeism.

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP):

  • Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • FMEA
  • Control Plan
  • Process Flow
  • MSA
  • SPC
