Quality Inspector

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Nigeria is looking for a Quality Inspector to ensure that products and processes comply to requirements, expectations and specifications before release to the customer

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications

• N6 technical qualification
• Accredited production/operations/industrial engineering/quality course
• At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, operations or quality control
• 5 years’ experience in PCBA assembly, inspection, soldering, mechanical assembly and testing

• Knowledge of pre-payment and revenue management products
• Knowledge of In-Process Control quality control inspection standards
• Knowledge of ISO sampling standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct products and process audits.
• Ensure that the shipping processes are aligned to the Health and Safety, and   quality standards
• Continuously evaluate current processes for improvement opportunities
• Ensure that all processes have the relevant and updated procedures
• Liaise with stores, Sales Support in preparation of customer shipments
• Conduct outgoing inspection as per shipping requirements
• Conduct outgoing inspection as per product requirements
• Create and maintain a register of all shipment inspection records
• Raise non-conformance reports
• Ensure speedy and effective resolution of non-conformances
• Ensure effective control of non- conforming goods
• Make sure that the required PPE are used when using tools and equipment.
• Ensure that the Equipment used is functional and calibrated; so that the units are accurately repaired and configured
• Constructively participate as a member of the wider Company team
• Undertake any other tasks or one-off projects which may be assigned from time to time
• Ensure protection of the company’s commercial interests always and in all circumstances
• Take all practicable steps to ensure personal safety and the safety of others as a matter of priority
• Demonstrate professional skill and a high standard of fairness and integrity
