Quality Controller (QC)

POSITION INFO:

As a Quality Controller, you will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements within the defense industry. You will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to implement quality assurance measures, perform root cause analysis on defects, and drive continuous improvement in production processes.

Responsibilities and duties will include: 

• Primary inspection on in-house CNC production floor
• Intermitting (in process) inspection of CNC components inhouse too CMM final evaluation
• Material receiving and verification of material with GRN and material certificates
• Inspection of surface treatment components in-house as per drawings supplied
• Primary inspection of outsourced components
• Inspection of surface treatment components outsourced as per drawings supplied

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in measurement tools (callipers, micrometres, CMMs) and quality inspection techniques
• Computer literacy is required
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure

Education / Experience

• Matric
• Relevant certificate/diploma would be beneficial.
• CNC knowledge
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
• 2+ years’ experience within a quality control environment
