Quality Assurance Junior Pharmacist

A leading pharmaceutical company has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Junior Pharmacist to join the team.

Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for compliance with legislation

Responsible for the overall quality control of the product

Responsible for the implementation of Quality Systems

Management of stock

Key Performance Areas

· Sampling of product for retesting and release

· Ensuring that each batch of product imported is quality tested as per the test protocol available in the COA dossier

· Review of all COA’s received from the contract laboratory following the testing of the product

· Sign-off and release of stock from stock control system

· Notify distributor about stock releases and goods made saleable

· SOP review and updates as and when a change is required or once every two years

· 3rd party vendor audits every three years

· Technical manufacturing agreement compilation, review and updating

· Distribution agreement compilation, review and updating

· Technical complaint investigation and trend analysis

· Customer Quality Control (QC) checks when finance opens new accounts on the system

· Product quality review annually

· Oversee retention sample store at distribution facility

· Collect and review validation data

· Ensure that sufficient standards, impurities and columns are available for the testing of current stock and new launches

· Collect and review product stability data

· Ensure mock recalls are carried out annually

· Ensure that artwork versions are being managed

· Liaising with the distributor regarding expired, short-dated or damaged stock

· Tracking of stock destructions and certification records

· Ensure that schedule 6 registers are updated

· Investigate large uncontrolled stock variances

· Track and report on receiving deviations

· Keep informed of changes in regulations or legislative changes that will impact on the way the company manages its quality systems

· Ensuring that quality systems are in place and are continuously updated to reflect current practice

· Ensuring that all information is readily available for audit purposes and that it is backed up

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION

• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree

EXPERIENCE

• Qualified pharmacist willing to grow in quality assurance.
