QUALIFIED MILLWRIGHT

Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng Position Type: Permanent

A well-established manufacturing company in Vereeniging is seeking a qualified and experienced Millwright to join its maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving plant equipment and machinery to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on light and medium current systems.

• Conduct PLC fault finding and basic troubleshooting.

• Maintain and repair drives and associated equipment.

• Service and maintain conventional and CNC machinery.

• Perform boiler maintenance and inspections.

• Carry out basic fabrication and welding tasks.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Prepare basic technical drawings where required.

• Develop and improve maintenance procedures and systems.

• Maintain and update ISO maintenance schedules and records.

• Assist with crane-related maintenance activities.

• Work with thermal coupling systems and associated equipment.

• Perform basic instrumentation maintenance and fault finding.

• Conduct general plant maintenance across the facility.

• Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, housekeeping, and maintenance standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Millwright with a recognized trade certificate.

• Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Experience with PLC fault finding and electrical maintenance.

• Knowledge of drives, boilers, instrumentation, fabrication, and welding.

• Experience maintaining conventional and CNC machinery.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Experience implementing maintenance systems, procedures, and schedules.

• Understanding of ISO maintenance systems and document control.

• Strong commitment to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
