QUALITY CONTROLLER (STEEL INDUSTRY)

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced QUALITY CONTROLLER (STEEL INDUSTRY) for a large concern, position based in the Durban area.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Relevant Quality qualification/s or in the process of completing qualification.

Completed ISO 9001 Audit and Implementation Training.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

Coil processing experience, or automotive pressing experience.

5yrs+ previous working experience in the steel processing quality control environment.

5yrs+ previous working experience with quality control.

Staff management / supervision experience.

Perform daily quality test and audits.

Responsible for quality control audits.

Control of setting and inspection standards.

Identification of rejected material (labelling).

Responsible for training to ensure awareness and conformity on the shop floor.

Report promptly to the Quality Manager any non-conformances detected.

Metrology experience.
