QUALITY ASSURER (CLOTHING INDUSTRY)
POSITION INFO:
RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced QUALITY ASSURER (CLOTHING INDUSTRY) for a well-established concern, position based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
!PERSON MUST PREFERABLY BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Relevant qualification/s an added advantage but not essential.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
English speaking (must be able to read, write and speak fluently).
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
2–3 years of experience in a garment manufacturing or textile quality role.
Specific experience in a high-volume embroidery environment or a background in embroidery digitizing a strong advantage.
Person will be responsible for ensuring that all embroidered products meet the company’s and the client’s rigorous standards for aesthetics, durability, and technical accuracy. Monitoring the production process from "first-off" samples to final packaging, minimizes waste, prevents bulk errors, and ensures that every stitch aligns perfectly with the digitized design.
Familiarity with ZSK, Tajima, Barudan, or similar multi-head machine operations.
Expert knowledge of tear-away, cut-away, and water-soluble backings.
Pre-production and sampling.
In-process inspection.
Final quality audit.
Troubleshooting and reporting.
Ability to read tech packs, digital mock-ups, and basic embroidery machine error codes. Able to confirm that the fabric sits in the hoop correctly.
Exceptional eye for detail.
