Job Description

The QA Automation Lead is responsible for leading the Automation framework architecture, enterprise test strategy, CI/CD automation, test environment management, performance testing oversight

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts to support functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automated testing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with development, business analysis, and operations teams to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor and guide QA team members in automation best practises and tool usage.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational policies related to software quality and security.
• Report on automation progress, challenges, and metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
• Stay current with emerging testing technologies and trends within the banking and finance sector.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading automation testing teams within a banking or finance environment.
• Strong technical expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, JIRA, GitLab
• Experience with programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools..

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, SAFe Agilist

Experience

• 8+ Years of Experience
• Demonstrated experience in banking and finance software testing projects.
• Experience in managing and mentoring teams of automation engineers.

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of automation frameworks and best practises,Agile, DevOps, Test Governance
