SUMMARY:
A leading pump manufacturing company seeks to appoint an External Sales Representative (Exports) based at their Johannesburg office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Grade 12 and a relevant Technical Qualification is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the pumping industry.
Sound knowledge of applications and working of various pumps.
Strong technical sales and negotiation skills is essential.
Knowledge of applications and working of various pumps.
Strong customer relations orientated with good problem-solving abilities.
Be self-driven and motivated with ability to prioritize and attention to detail.
Must be able to work against tight deadlines to achieve results.
Commitment and focused towards professional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Must be computer literate (MS Office).
Must have valid driver’s license, passport and be willing to travel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Seeking and identifying potential new business.
Providing sound technical advice and application support to customers and distributors.
Presentations on product and application information.
Assisting with design of pumping systems, pump stations and other water handling scenarios.
Responsible for existing key account holders/distributors and new business development.
Conducting fault finding and pump audits.
Ensuring quotations and/or offers get communicated efficiently to customers and distributors.
Providing accurate, relevant and up to date market and sales information.
