SUMMARY:
Are you driven by delivering projects from tender stage through to final handover? As a Project Engineer within a contracting environment, you will oversee projects from award to commissioning, coordinating design, procurement, site execution, and close-out. The role involves preparing and reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with specifications and contractual requirements, and managing programme, cost, and quality deliverables across the full project lifecycle. POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects within the contracting environment
Review and interpret client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, perform engineering calculations
Coordinate with the design office, reviewing and validating designs and drawings
Ensure strict compliance with ASME code requirements
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve project related queries
Ensuring all compliance is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental, and quality standards

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 4 years of technical experience, within a contracting environment
Ability to interpret drawings and have a good understanding of procedures
Knowledge of quality control processes, material properties, heat treatment, non-destructive testing (NDT), and inspection methods
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Proficient in MS Office alongside exposure to ERP/MRP system

Qualification:

Eng/Bsc Mech Eng
Eng. Candidacy or registration will be very advantageous
Project management qualification will be advantageous

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
