Project Engineer – Electrical (Industrial Automation/FMCG)

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting a Project Engineer that will responsible for the successful delivery of electrical and industrial automation projects from planning through commissioning and final handover.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical and automation projects simultaneously.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise site activities, resources and project teams.
• Lead E&I Technicians, Electricians, Millwrights and subcontractors.
• Oversee electrical, instrumentation and automation installations in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Manage material requirements, procurement and project schedules.
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning, snag resolution and project handover.
• Liaise with clients throughout project execution and manage scope changes and project risks.
• Monitor project progress and maintain project documentation, drawings and as-built records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and company standards.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma, BTech or BEng in Electrical, Mechatronic, Automation or a related Engineering discipline. (Trade Tested candidates with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.)
• 3 to 5 years experience in Electrical Projects, Industrial Automation or Systems Integration.
• Essential experience within the Food & Beverage or Process Industry.
• Experience working for an Automation Company, System Integrator or Engineering Contractor is advantageous.
• Experience managing multiple projects and site teams.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Strong project planning, documentation and communication skills.
• Valid driver''''''''''''''''s licence and willingness to travel.
