POSITION INFO:
PROJECT COORDINATOR – QUANTITY SURVEY
Education:
- A diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
- Estimating construction work
- Tendering
- Project performance management and evaluation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Ability: Strong math skills with acute attention to detail.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using tools MS Excel, or specialized estimating databases.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, pricing standards, and local building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Analysis: Review tenders, and project specifications to define the full scope of work.
- Quantity Take-offs: Calculate exact quantities for materials, labour hours, and machinery needed.
- Subcontractor Management: Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from vendors and trade partners.
- Risk & Cost Assessment: Identify potential project risks, factor in contingencies, and develop value engineering options.
- Bid Submission: Compile final cost breakdowns and deliver professional proposal packages before strict deadlines.
