Are you a newly qualified CA(SA) looking to launch your finance career within a listed environment where you'll gain exposure to group reporting, financial statements, budgeting, and executive-level reporting? A well-established JSE-listed company is seeking a talented and ambitious Project Accountant to join its high-performing group finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial results while supporting interim and year-end reporting processes. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who is eager to gain exposure to listed reporting requirements, IFRS, group consolidations, and strategic financial analysis within a dynamic corporate environment.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

This position involves:

Consolidating monthly financial results from multiple business units and preparing management accounts
Analysing financial performance and preparing commentary on key variances
Assisting with interim and annual financial reporting and results announcements
Preparing detailed IFRS-compliant working papers and financial statement disclosures
Performing impairment testing and supporting audit processes
Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting across the group
Compiling annual financial statements for subsidiary entities
Working closely with auditors and senior stakeholders across the business

Skills & Experience:

Exposure to group reporting, group consolidations, or financial statement preparation (advantageous)
Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting ability
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders

Qualification:

Newly Qualified CA (SA) – (non-negotiable)
