SUMMARY:
A large company in the Food Processing environment has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor, with at least 5 years' experience. Please do not send your CV if you do not have Production experience in the FMCG industry. Please note this is not a Quality position but a Production Supervisory position.

POSITION INFO:
The candidate will oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency within the plant. The incumbent will supervise production staff, monitor schedules, and implement improvements to optimize workflows, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

Minimum BTech in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in production plant operations is essential
Experience in TPM/Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience in leading and driving shop floor excellence
Food manufacturing industry experience is essential
Control product and product processes
Control raw materials stock levels and minimize waste
Liaise with and coordinate maintenance activities on the utilities and production plan with the maintenance team
Conduct inspections as part of an internal audit team and take corrective actions
Maintain and promote health, safety and hygiene in accordance with legislation and FSSC 22000 ISO standards
Optimise people, plant, machinery and equipment
Execute plant procedures to meet productivity, efficiency, food safety, and quality targets. This will require continuous monitoring of plant performance, reviewing analytical results and taking corrective actions
Identifying areas for improvement in the production process, implementing changes to increase efficiency, and reducing costs
Updating production schedule or plan to ensure that the weekly production target is met
