SUMMARY:
The daily general management of the Metallurgical Plant to ensure the efficient.

POSITION INFO:

Functions

Implement the Processing Strategy
Manage optimal plant utilization
Assist with the development and implementation of production budget
Human Resources Development to improve individual performance and ensure succession planning, training and skills transfer of relative personnel
Submit and motivate capital/strategic expenses to the General Manager
Manage process expenses
Manage Production throughput aligned with the target
To ensure that all work instructions are processed, maintained and actioned in accordance with requirements
Compliance with applicable statutory requirements and related Consulmet and Client policies/procedures
Manage process quality control
Implement Health & Safety and Security compliance
Compile and submit relative reports to Plant Manager
Ensure discipline is maintained in the work area (absenteeism, time management, overtime, misconduct (etc.)
Manage workplace climate
Comply with safety, health, security and environmental standards

Technical Skills

Thorough knowledge of diamond plants and DMS and Recovery circuits
Strong leadership skills and management capabilities
Strong technical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining
Work under pressure and demonstrate a high level of managerial skills as a leader of a team of professionals
Cognitive skills
Applicable financial, technical & legal skills& knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of metallurgical best practices and standards
Computer and MS office Skills
Coaching skills
Teamwork

Qualifications

Minimum: Degree in Metallurgy through a recognised Institution plus Code 8 or related experience in production plants
Desired: Degree in Metallurgy or related discipline plus Management Degree

Experience

Minimum: 5 years DMS and Recovery or separation technology experience of which at least 3 years on senior management level

Security/Police Clearance Required

Yes. Clear criminal record required
