SUMMARY:
Production Planner Manufacturing

POSITION INFO:

A manufacturing Company in the Steel and Engineering industry is seeking a competent production planner to join their team in Krugersdorp.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for creating Job cards, checking re-orders and tracking order progress to ensure smooth running of the planning department.

The successful candidate must be able to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

• Check stock re-orders daily.
• Create job cards for new orders for the departments.
• Book finished items to stock every day.
• Check all spares for jobs to be released.
• Check top 200 items to stock policy.
• Do follow ups with the departments on released jobs.
• Give weekly feedback to management on order progress.

Education/Professional Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Must be able to speak English
• Computer literate
• Extra computer courses / skills
• Must have worked in the engineering industry
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be able to work on Navision

Preferred Skills

• Must have good communication skills
• Must be passionate about their work
• Supervisory skills
• Good production skills will be an added advantage
• Time keeping and disciplined.
