SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Production Manager in the Century City vicinity. Must have experience from a manufacturing background and with AutoCAD.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Involved with the planning, coordination and control of daily manufacturing processes.
Ensures that goods and services are produced efficiently.
The scope of the job depends on the nature of production.
Involved in both the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of production management involves dealing with people, particularly those who work in your team.
Set rules and procedures for employees to follow.
Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule
Ensure that the production is cost effective
Ensure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
Work out the human and material resources needed
Give directions to employees on certain job tasks, resolve problems concerning work performance
Draft timescales for the day-to-day jobbing operation
Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
Monitor product standards and implementing quality-control programmes
Liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers, etc.
Able to work well with all the different managers within our company
Work with managers to implement the company''s policies and goals
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Supervise and motivate a team of workers
Review the performance of subordinates
Identify training needs
Monitor all machinery and increase productivity
Cultivate a work environment that endeavors positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees
Implement policies to ensure effective implementation and adherence among all employees in the organization.
Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 12 / NQF 4
Mechanical Engineering qualification
More than 3 years experience in a similar position
2 years or more supervisory experience
Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks
Experience with ISO 9001
