Production Manager

SUMMARY:
Manufacturing group are seeking a Production Manager in Howick with a minimum of 5 years senior production management experience.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan and manage production schedules and workflows to meet business targets
2. Provide administrative, leadership and logistical support
3. Lead and manage a diverse team of production staff
4. Ensure that products meet rigorous quality control standards
5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels
6. Coordination with supply chain
7. Track and analyse costs
8. Identify variances
9. Reduce waste
10. Drive continuous improvement methodologies through process optimisation
11. Manage health and safety across operations
12. Build cross functionality to support growth and innovation
13. Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
14. Management and report of KPI’s to leadership

1. Tertiary technical qualification
2. 5+ years experience in a senior production/manufacturing role
3. Knowledge and working experience in lean manufacturing, quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
4. Proactive and data driven approach to solving operational challenges
5. Strong leadership and management skills
6. Passion for improving performance
7. High attention to detail
8. Must be able to speak isiZulu
