SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturing company based in Ottery, Western Cape is seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of its production operations.
This is a permanent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in injection moulding within a high-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Position: Production Manager

Location: Ottery (Western Cape)

Direct Report: General Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. NQF 6 in Production/Operations Management or HNDT in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production Manager role within manufacturing (preferably FMCG).
Hands-on experience with injection moulding processes and machinery is essential.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, and Food Safety practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full production process to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.
Implement production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.
Lead and manage production teams, promoting a culture of accountability and performance.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
