Production Foreman (Brick Manufacturing) - Klapmuts, Western Cape

Salary: R25,000 – R32,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

About the Opportunity

A leading manufacturer in the heavy clay products industry, based in Klapmuts, is seeking a hands-on and driven Production Foreman to oversee daily factory operations.

In this role, you will lead a team on the factory floor, ensuring daily production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings strong supervisory skills and practical experience in a heavy industrial, extrusion, or brick manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Shift & Operational Leadership: Manage daily factory floor activities, shift handovers, and labor allocation to meet continuous production targets.
• Process Oversight: Monitor raw material processing, extrusion, drying, and firing processes to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and discipline factory personnel, ensuring high morale, performance, and adherence to company policies.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict health and safety standards (OHSA) and conduct regular quality checks across the production line.
• Downtime Management: Partner with the maintenance team to address machine breakdowns swiftly and carry out basic troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Foreman or Production Supervisor in heavy manufacturing
• Skills: Solid understanding of factory machinery, continuous production processes, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams on a busy production floor.
• Location: Must reside in or near Klapmuts/Paarl/Stellenbosch (or be willing to commute reliably).
• Education: Matric / Grade 12 essential; relevant technical or supervisory qualification/diploma preferred.
