Production Foreman

SUMMARY:
Seeking a Production / Factory Foreman for a manufacturing concern specializing in ducting and sheet metal products for the steam, gas and hot water industries.

Please note: This is a very hands-on position, that reports directly to the Production Manager, to provide regular feedback on production performance.

POSITION INFO:
Required:

• Initiate, implement, and maintain daily and weekly production plans in line with company objectives.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure that products meet the required quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste of materials and resources.
• Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
• Relevant technical qualification or Trade certificate.
• Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Proven experience in managing production teams and meeting production targets.
• Experience working with production planning, quality control, and inventory management.
• Monitor performance against the production plan, evaluate outcomes, and initiate corrective action plans where required.
• Coach, train, counsel, and develop production staff to improve skills, performance, and teamwork.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to employees and enforce discipline, when necessary, in line with company procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Procurement Officer and Production Manager to ensure the availability of required materials.
