Production Assistant (Table Grapes)

If you’re passionate about agriculture and ready to start your farming career, I am currently recruiting for a Production Assistant for a Farm near Clanwilliam. This is an ideal role for a motivated agriculture graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience and grow into a future production or farm management role.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Production operations:

• Planting and cultivation of table grapes

• Irrigation scheduling and fertilizer application

• Pest and disease control

• Pruning, harvesting, and crop monitoring

• Execution of all crop manipulations

• Labour planning and supervision

• Recordkeeping and reporting

• Planning of transport and accommodation for workers

• General maintenance of orchards and equipment

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification (Agriculture or similar)

• Entry-level experience in table grape production (internships or seasonal work welcome)

• Basic knowledge of good agricultural practices

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)

• Strong administrative and communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team and lead workers

• Valid driver's license
