Production Administrator

POSITION INFO:
About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrator to support the smooth day-today operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating administrative tasks, managing documentation, and supporting production and logistics teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:
Creating and managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and products, and adjusting schedules as needed to meet changing demands.

Inventory Management:
Tracking raw materials, components, and finished goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers for timely procurement.  

Quality Control:
Ensuring products meet established quality standards through inspections, documentation, and adherence to quality control procedures.  

Administrative Support:
Handling paperwork, managing databases, maintaining production records, and facilitating communication between different departments and stakeholders.

Budget Management:
Assisting in the development and monitoring of the production budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.  

Resource Management:
Managing personnel, equipment, and other resources to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.  

Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and other relevant policies and procedures.  

Communication:
Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including production staff, management, suppliers, and customers.  

Continuous Improvement:
Identifying areas for improvement in production processes, recommending and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Training and Development:
May be involved in training new staff, providing support to existing employees, and fostering a positive work environment.  

Requirements:

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum; a diploma or certificate in Office Administration or Business Management is an advantage

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
