Procurement Supervisor Temp (3 months)

POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE:
To supervise the procurement of goods and services efficiently, effectively and economically; to assist the Procurement Manager with the management of all other areas of responsibility such as travel, insurance, cell phones, courier services, and SCM policies and procedures.

KEY OUTPUTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
ï‚· Supervise the sourcing of quotations for goods and services.
ï‚· Supervise the creation and generation of purchase requisitions /orders / GRN’s.
ï‚· Evaluate quotations as per policy criteria in standard operating procedures
ï‚· Supervise support services for the administration of demand and acquisition of goods and services
ï‚· Assist with reporting to National Treasury and Auditor General
ï‚· Ensure that all assets and risks are adequately insured.
ï‚· Monitor the status of insurance claims and take appropriate action to ensure timeous settlement.
ï‚· Assist with the administration of travel and accommodation contract.
ï‚· Ensure that obsolete or excess items are disposed of at the best possible price.
ï‚· Arrange courier services as and when required.
ï‚· Assist with the administration of the courier services contract.
ï‚· Manage the Cell phone account in line with the approved policy.
ï‚· Assist with updating of regulations, policies, and procedures.
ï‚· Assist with all aspects of SCM to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures and NT regulations.
ï‚· Supervision of staff.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED
ï‚· A recognized Grade 12 and a relevant Three (3) year Qualification
ï‚· 3 years experience within a procurement / financial environment
ï‚· Experience in Syspro and Excel will be a strong recommendation
