Matric certificate minimum or equivalent

Bcom Degree in Procurement /Supply Chain Management

At least 5 years technical experience in Hydraulics/Pneumatics and

Engineering

A minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

Must be a dynamic, motivated individual

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be a creative thinker and self-starter

Must have the ability to initiate and follow through on processes

Determine and record trends and forecasts in line with our procurement

requirements.

Ensure adherence to purchasing policies.

Develop and record a suitable supplier database and maintain and

measure supplier performance.

Ensure coordination of supply chain management with other functional

areas such as sales, finance, production and quality assurance.

Effective manage procurement support staff regarding effective and

aggressive procurement procedures.

Carry out internal training on processes and best procurement and

supplier negotiation practices.

Review existing purchase ordering process, implement continuous

improvements where necessary.

Ensure payment terms are managed and optimized

resulting improved cash flows and a significant reduction in cash

purchases.

Lead supplier negotiations, recommend supplier selection and implement

contracts designed to encourage company savings.

Monitor supplier’s performance in line with KPI’s, contractual obligations

and service level agreements.

Manage  procurement strictly in line with our BBBEE Policy.

Managing the procurement BEE123 system.

Design reporting and monitoring mechanisms that clearly measures cost

savings achieved by category or supplier and measure supplier

performance and concerns.

Monitor competitor and potential competitor products and services and

communicate such matters to Senior Management.

Undertake any other duties as request by Senior Management in

accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the role.

Ensure that the stock and pricing master files are maintained on a

monthly basis.
