SUMMARY:
Main purpose of the position is to compile information and records, to draw up purchase orders for procurement of packaging materials and follow up on supplier deliveries to ensure on time delivery.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Purchasing processes and administration of all purchase orders are created and completed within 24 hours of scheduled production to ensure accurate and on time delivery of dry goods.
Accurate and on time capturing to ensure up to date and correct data on SAGE system
Stock Levels are monitored to ensure stock is kept within minimum stock levels
Daily Follow up with supplier regarding confirmation dates.
Compliance with QMS protocol and procedures are adhered to, incl. raising of Corrective Action Request and following up with suppliers.
Compliance with HACCP and H&S policies and procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 or equivalent
Post Matric qualification in Purchasing / Warehouse / Quality will be an added advantage Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role preferably within a FMCG/ Wine / Bottling Environment

Skills & Competencies:

Computer literacy – (Excel, Word, MS Outlook)
SAGE Experience is essential
Sound understanding of purchasing procedures
Procurement of Packaging materials experience advantageous
Packaging Product knowledge is an added advantage
Quality Management System Knowledge advantageous
Good mathematical skills
Good judgement, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent administration and decision-making skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is essential
