POSITION INFO:

Leader in wastewater treatment seeks to employ a suitably experienced Process Engineer at their offices in Paarl. Responsible for support through project execution, performance testing and evaluation, plant audits and general process engineering

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Eng/ B. Sc/ B. Tech in Chemical/ Process Engineering
• 5 years'' experience as a Process Engineer in water treatment, turnkey projects or similar field

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Interpretation & Implementation of Client Requirements and Specifications
• Process design development through careful selection of process treatment technologies based on good engineering practice, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance
• Represent the company during meetings with potential customers, vendors and sub-contractors
• Interacting with mechanical, draughting, civil, electrical and control systems engineering disciplines
• Preparation of optimisation plans related to the site(s)
• Preparation of a detail engineering design package consisting of Process Flow Diagrams, Design Calculations and Mass & Energy Balances, Piping and Instrumentation, Equipment Schedules, Process Datasheets,
• Preparation of Technical Specifications of equipment for Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders
• Technical evaluation of vendor proposals where required
• Commissioning, including documentation preparation, pre-commissioning, cold- and hot commissioning activities and trouble shooting
• Performance testing and reporting
• Writing of technical reports
