We're working with a fast-growing, innovation-led consulting firm that's shaking up how financial services think about risk, value, and customer behaviour. And they’re looking for a sharp, curious Junior Data Scientist to join their Analytics & Insights team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Think of this role as equal parts analyst, model builder, and creative problem-solver:
• Explore and clean big, messy datasets using Python, R, or SAS – and uncover insights no one else saw coming
• Build predictive models that forecast customer behaviour, credit risk, returns, and more
• Create visuals and dashboards with Power BI or Tableau to tell the story behind the numbers
• Work closely with actuaries, finance experts, and consultants to solve real business problems
• Grow fast with on-the-job learning, mentorship, and hands-on exposure to high-impact projects

What You Bring

• A Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, or similar (PhD = bonus!)
• 0–2 years of practical experience in data science or ML projects
• Strong coding skills in Python or R
• Solid grasp of statistical modelling and ML algorithms
• Exposure to cloud tools (Azure, AWS) and big data tech (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
• Some experience with Power BI or Tableau
• If you’ve worked in finance or consulting, even better – but not a dealbreaker
