POSITION INFO:

Pre-Sales Support Engineer (Ivanti | Enterprise Software Development) – Cape Town, Western Cape

R30 000 – R35 000 Per Month Negotiable based on Qualification and Years of Experience

Established and highly reputable IT Software Support firm representing renowned brands is seeking a tenacious, self-motivated, technically sound individual to expand their vision and service offering.

One would describe you as being passionate about IT, an enthusiastic and adept learner who is flexible and adaptable in embracing new products.

You would become an expert in the software systems sold by the Company, through continuous development, in order to support the Sales team in their pre-sales process.

 Key duties include:

• Provide product, service, technical and engineering information
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
• Demo and present products to current and future customers
• Assist with completion of technical requirements for proposals and responses to tenders
• Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing sales information
• Develop comprehensive expertise of the Company’s software portfolio
• Respond to internal queries from sales and professional services team
• Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
• Recommend software or products to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase efficiency to make their business work better
• Develop new product offerings
• Manage and support IT infrastructure environment as well as aspects of deployment, provisioning, monitoring and maintenance thereof
• Ensure that platform performance is in line with requirements – monitor and plan infrastructure capacity to cater for future growth and requirements
• Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Develop and maintain relevant operational procedures and standards
• Manage the configuration and life-cycle of the Company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems remain compliant and adhere to security policies and standards
• Ensure required environments are sufficiently backed-up, highly available and resilient.
• Adhere to change management processes ensuring all changes are correctly captured, understood and communicated

Requirements:

• Relevant IT / related tertiary qualification
• Minimum 2-5 years Ivanti and / or enterprise software development experience gained in a similar role
• Have broad enterprise IT knowledge with experience gained in Security, Services Management, or Endpoint Management
• Demonstratable presentation skills in demoing products

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a 2-3 minute video demoing your favourite software or IT product
