This position is based in Sandton (Johannesburg North).
 
Duties:

• Financial Analysis & Reporting:
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of General Ledger accounts for each property in the portfolio.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects.
• Verify and process monthly contracts and municipal payments, making accruals where necessary.
• Ensure operational costs and utilities are accurately accounted for through recovery processes.

• Collaborative Liaison:
• Collaborate closely with Property/Centre Managers to address accruals, projections, and anomalies in payments.
• Act as a point of contact for Property/Centre Managers, addressing ledger-related queries and discrepancies promptly and effectively.

• Journal Entry & Adjustment:
• Prepare and post all necessary monthly adjusting journals with precision and timeliness.
• Process monthly accruals and projections to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.

• Performance Analysis:
• Generate comprehensive variance reports and provide insightful commentary on projections and financial performance.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Problem Resolution & Optimization:
• Proactively follow up on outstanding creditor invoices, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Address contractual increases above budgeted figures, raising queries and seeking resolutions as needed.

• Data Analysis & Reconciliation:
• Scrutinize utility billings and accruals, querying discrepancies with Utility Managers to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial transparency and integrity.

• Administrative Support & Compliance:
• Assist in budget preparation and capture, contributing to strategic financial planning.
• Maintain meticulous financial records for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Performance Tracking & Benchmarking:
• Prepare monthly income comparison reports against budgeted figures, analyzing tenant-level movements to optimize financial performance.

• Completed Matric
• Degree / Diploma in Accounting or Finance related field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Good experience working with Excel
