SUMMARY:
Join a listed company with over 40 years in developing and managing rural retail spaces across South Africa, with a portfolio of 26 premium assets. The company currently requires a Senior Accountant with extensive property industry experience to join a team on the forefront of our nation's economic development.

POSITION INFO:
Duties / Job Requirements:

FULL Accounting function including, bookkeeping, cashbook and creditors.
Maintain Fixed Assets Register and depreciation
Maintain Amortisation schedules
Account reconciliations
Solid knowledge of MDA / MRI Property Systems
Must be able to do management accounts and monthly KPI and management reports
Cash flow report, income statement, balance sheet etc.
Monthly VAT returns and annual VAT reconciliations
Year-end Journals and Preparation for Audit of listed company
Drafting of Annual Financial Statements
Company TAX calculations and submissions

Requirements:

Min 5 years’ experience in accounting
B Com degree, a 3year Diploma in Accounting or alternatively extensive experience in accounting
Must be able to work on her/his own and meet deadlines in a listed environment.
Clear ITC and good work references
Must be able to work under pressure
Excellent written and verbal command of English. Afrikaans is advantageous.
