Pool Technician

SUMMARY:
Luxury Hotel Collection based in and around Franschhoek looking for an enthusiastic Pool Technician.
 
To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage various tasks daily to ensure great service and exceed expectations. Attention to detail and the ability to work at a faster than average pace will serve the applicant well.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
 
Attend to all pool related issues especially the basic pool maintenance
Vacuuming the pool whenever they are dirty, ensuring all pools are sparkling clean at all times
Report all pool issues and leaks immediately and record all values and readings on the daily check sheets
All pool water must be tested daily
Ensure that the facilities and equipment in and around the pools are well maintained and in good working order
Perform and complete all duties with minimal interruption and inconvenience to guests and the service operation
Responds to maintenance requests in the minimum possible time
Reduce any accident or damage to equipment, loss of tools and supplies
Adhere to Health and Safety standards
 
Requirements:
 
Matric Certificate
Valid driver’s license
Certification or qualification in pool and spa pool care and use of chemicals beneficial
Minimum of 2 years’ general handyman experience and in pool servicing in particular
Highly experienced in cleaning, filtration and maintenance of swimming pools
Good knowledge of pool chemicals and basic electrical repair
Knowledge of pool pumps, filters and pool heating pumps
Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous
Able to communicate with other accurately and timely to ensure speed and quality of services
Must be able to work under pressure with attention to detail
Ability to capture data and reports
