In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and improving plastic injection moulds to maximise efficiency, reduce production downtime, and maintain high manufacturing standards.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Toolmaker with a recognised trade qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Experience working on plastic injection moulds is essential
• Strong understanding of mould maintenance, repairs and modifications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using conventional toolroom machinery
• CNC experience will be advantageous
• Must be able to work accurately and independently
• Must have good problem-solving skills
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

• Manufacturing, maintaining, repairing and modifying plastic injection moulds
• Performing preventative maintenance on moulds
• Fault-finding and repairing mould-related issues
• Assisting with tool trials and mould improvements
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Operating conventional toolroom machinery safely and accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards
• Supporting production by ensuring moulds are available and in good working condition
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working closely with the toolroom, production and quality teams
