A well-established company within the distillery sector is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Plant Operator & Maintenance Technician to take full responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and performance of the production plant at their Edenvale facility.
This is a critical role requiring a qualified Fitter & Turner with proven experience, as strong mechanical expertise is essential to ensure optimal plant functionality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operation and performance of the plant
Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on all machinery and equipment
Ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical faults
Maintain strict health & safety standards within the plant
Work closely with production to ensure smooth and continuous operations
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Fitter & Turner (essential)
Proven experience in plant maintenance and operations
Strong mechanical, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of plant performance
Experience within the distillery, beverage, food processing, or similar industry will be advantageous
