SUMMARY:
Personal Lines Underwriter | Parktown, Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:
A well-established, medium-sized short-term Insurance Brokerage, located in Parktown, is looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team!

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Personal Lines underwriting within the short-term insurance industry
Experience working within a broker environment / broker office operations
Matric (Grade 12) is essential
Full FAIS compliance is required
DOFA confirmation with the FSCA
Previous product training across multiple insurers’ policy wordings would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite and administer personal lines short-term insurance policies in line with standard policy wordings
Prepare new business quotes and rebrokes, ensuring all required client information is obtained
Manage policy amendments, renewals, and underwriting queries
Liaise with clients, brokers, and insurers to resolve queries and provide underwriting support
Maintain accurate digital records, filing, and email correspondence
Ensure all work is completed accurately and within deadlines

Remuneration
R20K CTC, depending on experience and qualifications
