SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in a specialist industry sector for an experienced Employee Relations Practitioner.

POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual who meets the following criteria:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Organisational Psychology.
2 to 4 years’ Human Resources experience, preferably in retail/FMCG/Mining.
Must have a valid SA driver’s license and own vehicle.
Must have chaired disciplinary hearings.
Must have represented an employer at CCMA conciliation and arbitration

Main Responsibilities:

Industrial Relations & Performance:

Advise line managers on disciplinary action and chair hearings.
Draft charges and disciplinary notices.
Represent company at CCMA hearings (Con/Arb).
Manage IR documentation and outcomes.

HR Administration & Data Management:

Maintain accurate data on HRIS.
Administer payroll documentation, leave, and employee records.
Manage termination processes and IOD claims.

Recruitment & Selection:

Screen CVs, conduct interviews, perform background checks.
Facilitate onboarding, contract documentation, and HRIS updates.

Performance Management:

Support performance reviews and career development planning.
Provide guidance on KPAs and disciplinary measures.

Learning & Development:

Facilitate training sessions and identify coaching needs.
Track training effectiveness and follow up on objectives.

Business Partnering & Consulting:

Advise management on HR matters and workforce planning.
Analyse trends and recommend improvements.
Build strong working relationships to boost productivity and morale.

Compliance & Legal Guidance:

Ensure alignment with employment legislation.
Partner with legal teams as needed on restructures and policies.
Provide clear HR policy guidance.

Remuneration:
The position is aligned to a set budget that is market-related and commensurate with the years of experience required for the role.
