SUMMARY:
A manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic products is seeking a People Advisor to join their People Management team in Durban. The role involves providing operational and advisory support for day-to-day People Management operational activities and queries to line managers and employees. The role supports the implementation of HR initiatives, ensures consistent and efficient application of policies and procedures in performing operation or transactional people processes, and assisting the People Business Partner with related activities.

Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a Human Resources related field, while a postgraduate qualification would be advantageous. 3-5 Years’ experience in a generalist HR role, including administration of HR processes, HR Information Systems, Industrial relations within a unionised environment, supporting line managers in a business partnering capacity, and delivering within a cross-functional HR team/department.
Additional Requirements: Customer service orientation, attention to detail and accuracy, process orientation and efficiency, strong administrative and organisational skills, problem solving ability, HR systems and technology proficiency, confidentiality and discretion, effective communication skills, basic understanding of labour legislation, time management and prioritisation skills, basic data analysis and reporting, and policy interpretation and application.
