Payroll Officer (MEIBC)

SUMMARY:
We are urgently looking to employ a Payroll Officer for a Scaffolding/Contracting Concern based in Germiston.

POSITION INFO:

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• Tertiary qualification in Payroll or VIP accredited training, SAGE People, payroll academy courses or systems (Desirable)
• 3 Years full function experience in Payroll Administration (Essential)
• At least 6 months experience working on a time and attendance system (Essential)
• Exposure to different pay rules, leave schemes and shift patterns realkting to MEIBC (Essential)
• At least 1 year experience working on the SAGE VIP people payroll system (Essential)
• Experience working in MEIBC sector and knowledge of MEIBC main agreement. (Essential)
• Experience in a medium sized company with at least a staff compliment of a 1500 or more (Desirable)

What you will be doing...

• Process new employees, staff movements and terminations on the payroll system
• Verify the payroll documentation received and to process payroll data accurately within specified deadlines
• Assist with the monthly payroll reconciliation and submit reports timeously to avoid incorrect payments
• Prepare the payroll, within agreed timeframes, for submission to Finance
• Process and submit all statutory and 3rd party returns and payments by required deadlines
• Liaise with relevant departments and stakeholders to support internal processes and ensure queries are resolved timeously
• Support management with reports to assist in identifying trends and to monitor payroll costs
