SUMMARY:
Payroll Officer

POSITION INFO:

Respond to employee’s questions about (wages, deductions, Council Fee, Holiday Pay Fund, Sick Pay Fund, Annual Leave Pay Fund, Wellness Fund) and NBC benefits and handle all dealings with the NBC to ensure full compliance and accuracy.

In Jet Park area 

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - will include but are not limited to:

 Responsible for end to end payroll functions on either Sage 300 or Premier

• Manage employee profiles for leave administration in accordance with NBCRFLI policies and procedures.
• General Monthly payroll processing including starters, leavers and movements within the payrolls
• Continuous alignment with other payroll officers responsible for South African payrolls.
• Month End Reconciliations
• General Ledgers / Journals.
• Staff Accounts processing and reconciliation where required
• Pension / provident fund (New Entries / Withdrawals).
• Discovery Health Medical Aid (New Applications / Withdrawals).
• Online Submission of the NBCRFLI D-Form
• Process payment checks on time and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
• Method of Calculation Knowledge
• Administer the Employee Self Service module of VIP Payroll.
• Full support to HR Business Partners where required with any S 189 / S 197 processes
• May be required to attend meetings with the NBC to handle queries and provide support to relevant HR business partners

 Minimum Requirements

• Min 5 years – VIP Payroll experience (Classic / Premier)
• Sage 300, SAP or Oracle – will be an advantage
• Ability to communicate in any of the official African Languages in the country
