Our client in the motor industry seeks to employ a Payroll Administrator to be based at their operations near Kempton Park, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for approx. +-350 employees on the VIP Payroll System (this includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations).
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, and overtime claims on ESS system.
  • Responsible for the coordination between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
  • Handle the administration of the ERS system.
  • Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorisation.
  • Generating reports for payments eg. PAYE returns and other 3rd parties.
  • Maintain a proper document control system.
  • Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration.
  • Prepare month-end journals and reporting integration to the financial system (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports eg. expense claims, overtime, leave balances, head count, and month-end reports).
  • Communicate payroll changes to the HR Manager and on time.

Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Payroll qualification advantageous
  • 5+ years' experience as Payroll Officer/Administrator
  • MUST have VIP Premier system experience, ESS, ERS, ODBC
  • Strong working knowledge of MIBCO
  • Code 8 licence
