Payroll Administrator – Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a self-motivated team player who displays high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

POSITION INFO:

You will need to get your hands dirty and get stuck into the detail. Ideally, you will have experience working within an agile working environment. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor you will be required to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective payroll function in accordance with company and legal requirements.

It is essential that you have the following:

• Matric & Relevant Qualification essential
• 5 years payroll experience essential
• Manufacturing sector experience essential
• Understand BCEA and  keep informed of changes to Tax legislation
• Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
• Solid experience in working with shift permutations and overtime calculations
• SAP
• Success Factors experience will be advantageous
• Intermediate Excel

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Continually evaluate, advise on initiatives to optimize the functionality of the SAP payroll
• Receives and processes all payroll source documents to ensure all employees are remunerated correctly for services rendered
• Coordinates in liaison with IT provider, effective functioning of the Time and Attendance system and liaises with T&A Administrators of each area to ensure correct processes are followed
• Prepares and reconciles month-end payments to all vendor companies. These companies will include pension/provident administrators, SARS, union, IEMAS and home loan companies
• Comparison of FI balances with payroll balances to ensure correct amounts are paid over
• Benefits administration of Provident Funds and medical aid
• Reporting, Statistical reporting includes Stats SA
• Tools loan recon for the training department
• Respond to employee payroll related queries in a timely manner
