SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with a strong focus on payroll, including salaries, wages, and staff debtors. This role involves managing unallocated accounts, performing credit and debtor analysis, and handling reconciliations across payroll, revenue, and other key accounts. POSITION INFO:

Revenue Reconciliation:
Take ownership of reconciling revenue across multiple systems, identifying discrepancies swiftly and engaging the right teams to resolve them. Investigate variances thoroughly and process journals to ensure accurate financial reporting
Payroll Journals & Reconciliation:
Be the go-to expert for processing monthly salary journals with precision and timeliness. Reconcile payroll clearing accounts by aligning payroll schedules with actual payments and escalate inconsistencies to ensure clean books
Staff Debtors Management:
Maintain crystal-clear staff debtor accounts by ensuring only recoverable amounts are reflected. Flag and resolve anomalies with speed and accuracy
Unallocated Deposits Oversight:
Champion the clean-up of unallocated deposits by ensuring each entry is legitimate and traceable. Collaborate across departments to drive down unreferenced transactions
Debtors Credit Analysis:
Delve into accounts with credit balances, uncover the "why," and resolve them efficiently. Ensure every rand is billed correctly and every receipt lands in the right place

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 Years experience
Proven experience in payroll processing, salary journals, and payroll reconciliations.
Strong understanding of revenue accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Skilled in managing staff debtor accounts and resolving unallocated transactions.
Excellent analytical abilities with experience in credit and debtor account analysis.
Proficient in working cross-functionally with departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.

Qualification:
Degree in finance/accounting
