ABOUT OUR CLIENT

The business operates within the hair and beauty industry, providing products and services to partners as part of its focus on digitising the industry.

Payments form an important part of the partner journey, with a significant opportunity to increase the activation and ongoing usage of card machines.

THE ROLE: PAYMENTS ADOPTION SPECIALIST

The Payments Adoption Specialist is responsible for proactively engaging with partners throughout their card machine journey, from initial activation and onboarding through to ongoing adoption and reactivation.

The role works closely with Sales, Onboarding and Customer Success to ensure partners successfully set up their card machine, complete their first transactions and continue using payments as part of their day-to-day business.

This is a proactive, target-driven role managing different cohorts of partners, identifying opportunities to increase card machine activation, drive transaction volumes and re-engage partners who have become dormant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a portfolio of partners with card machines and consistently deliver against individual payment adoption targets.
• Proactively engage with newly sold partners to support card machine activation, setup and onboarding.
• Ensure newly activated partners complete their first transactions and build regular usage of their card machine.
• Follow up with partners after onboarding to understand their experience, identify barriers and drive continued payment adoption.
• Proactively engage with existing and dormant card machine partners to understand why they are not using their machine and identify opportunities to reactivate them.
• Use transaction data, account insights and partner information to identify opportunities and prioritise activity effectively.
• Work closely with Sales, Onboarding and Customer Success to create a consistent end-to-end partner journey for payments.
• Identify and escalate technical, operational or partner experience issues that may be preventing card machine adoption.
• Share partner feedback and insights with the wider Payments team to help improve the card machine experience and adoption journey.
• Support new payment initiatives and processes designed to increase card machine activation, engagement and usage.
