SUMMARY:
VACANCY: Qualified Pastry Chef (2-Month Contract)
We are seeking a Qualified Pastry Chef for a 2-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a skilled and experienced pastry professional who is passionate about baking excellence and staff development.
The successful candidate will be responsible not only for producing high-quality pastry items, but also for training and upskilling kitchen staff to competently perform the duties of a Pastry Chef.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods to a high standard
• Develop and standardise recipes and production processes
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in pastry preparation techniques
• Ensure quality control, consistency, and presentation standards
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen compliance standards
• Assist with stock control and ingredient management

• Relevant Pastry Chef qualification
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dessert production, and presentation
• Previous experience in staff training and mentoring will be advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organisational and leadership skills

• Duration: 2 Months (Fixed-Term Contract)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Remuneration: Market related (based on experience)
